Tucked away in a mindless chamber
Lies the belief in chance so strong,
That if nurtured with the sweet patience
Of a colourless rose,
It will light the midnight boulevard
And lead you home.

I was at an unexpected place with expected people
When a timely moment ensued, that sent me
Into a timeless dream.
Her voice called out to me and I found myself waltzing onto a crystal lake,
Frozen by the summer ice and caressed by the soothing moonlight.
I turned, looked at those enchanting eyes, and sensed
A feeling so pure, I sank further into the chair,
Felt the flame of a racing heart, and yet smiled in childish disbelief.
To ride off into the sunset, caring not about darkness,
I wished, for I knew she would make
Every single moment count.
And what never followed, forever will I yearn for:
She took my hands and held them so tight,
I could cry.
